With the New Year upon us Flavorcan would like to share some insight into 2018 with our prediction for Flavors of the Year.

There has been a growing trend surrounding global spicy flavors in food and we predict that these culinary influences will bring it into the mainstream for 2018. Extremely Hot flavors such as capsicum to more mild flavors like sriracha or buffalo will drive new product launches throughout the New Year and beyond. Heat in food is also linked to some health benefits from helping your body fight off diseases to decreasing inflammation in the body. Hot flavors can be used in many applications from any entree dish, marinades, sauces and dips to unique ready to drink beverages to give it an extra added kick of heat. It also can be paired with endless amounts of other flavors to create a unique stand-alone flavor on its own.

Stuffed Turkey 

As we say goodbye to an amazing year at Flavorcan and welcome in a New Year, we decided to show off a very complex flavor for the final month of 2017.  It’s a time of celebration and nothing is more festive than a traditional Turkey dinner.  We created something impossible by making one flavor containing delightful roasted turkey, savory herbs and a hint of baked bread for a well-rounded holiday experience. This flavor combination can be used in many different applications, including vegetarian and vegan dishes to sauces and gravies, seasonings, potato chips, spreads and frozen entrees.
